WowiArmory and Potentially More

There's a very nice web app that has been silently in development over at Omen of Clarity called WowiArmory. It's an iPhone optimized web interface for the World of Warcraft Armory.

"WowiArmory allows you to view the World of Warcraft armory directly on your iPhone or iPod Touch. All information is formatted especially for viewing in MobileSafari running on your iPhone or iPod Touch, ensuring that it's always delivered in a clear, consistent and intuitive way."

In contrast to the newly released Warcraft Characters native iPhone app that I mentioned earlier, this one is accessible via the iPhone or iPod Touch's mobile Safari web browser.

WowiArmory is a feature rich Armory implementation and includes your character's presently equipped armor and weapons. It will show the tooltip information of your items, as well as your Arena, and spell stats.

Since it's a server-side web based app, performance and access to it will depend on your iPhone's internet connection. I've tested it over WiFi and AT&T's 3G network and it's extremely responsive. Even over the slower Edge network, WowiArmory, is still very useable but you will need to have just a little bit more patience.

Now wouldn't it be ideal to roll Warcraft Characters and WowiArmory together into one application? Well, SaladFork has already thought of that and it looks like the two developers be working together. So we will probably see something in the near future. Combining Warcraft Characters and WowiArmory together into one application is going to be awesome.
